The purpose of this procedure is to ensure consistency for staff choosing to create wikispaces in the Institute, as well as to maintain quality assurance within a knowledge management framework.

Wikis facilitate collaboration between teachers and students for assignment information, class projects etc; and between staff members for project collaboration, research, committees etc (ensuring that they are not used as an alternative to the corporate Intranet).
